Triumph Announces First Wave of 2026 Updates, Focusing on Modern Classics

Triumph Motorcycles has lifted the curtain on the first wave of its most ambitious product offensive to date, announcing a comprehensive update to its beloved Modern Classics lineup for 2026. This reveal marks the beginning of a staggering rollout of 29 new or updated models scheduled over the next six months, signaling a historic year for the British marque.
Leading the charge are seven revamped icons: the Bonneville, T100, T120, T120 Black, Bobber, Speedmaster, and Scrambler 1200 XE. While a heavily revised Scrambler 900 is a headline story in its own right, Triumph has bestowed significant, thoughtful upgrades across the entire Bonneville family, with the Bobber and Speedmaster receiving particularly notable enhancements.

The cruiser siblings, sharing a 1200cc parallel-twin and a distinctive faux-hardtail chassis, now address key rider desires. Both receive a crucial increase in fuel capacity, from 3.2 to 3.7 gallons, extending range and subtly reshaping their profiles. The tank now extends further rearward, complemented by new, more angular side panels and throttle body covers for a contemporary edge. Comfort is boosted with newly sculpted, broader seats, and both models now feature cruise control, aluminum wheels, and a new, brighter LED headlight design that is standard across the 2026 Bonneville range.
Perhaps the most significant technological leap is the adoption of an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). This addition brings cornering-sensitive Traction Control and ABS to the entire Bonneville line, including the T100 and T120 models, which also gain cruise control and a USB-C socket.

In a surprising move, the Scrambler 1200 XE sees a reversal in its suspension philosophy. Triumph has responded to customer feedback by ditching the 2024 Marzocchi setup, returning to the premium, fully-adjustable 47mm Showa fork and twin Öhlins piggyback shocks revered by enthusiasts, prioritizing high-end performance over cost-saving.
With seven models unveiled, Triumph’s 2026 campaign is just beginning. The message is clear: this is a refinement forged from rider feedback, elevating style, comfort, and technology, while setting the stage for 22 more revelations in the months to come.
