High Stakes and High Speed: BSB Title to Be Decided at Brands Hatch Showdown

The Bennetts British Superbike Championship will reach its dramatic conclusion in the United Kingdom as Brands Hatch hosts the traditional season-ending triple-header on 17–19 October 2025. With double points on the line in the Showdown Finale, every lap will count as Britain’s top riders battle for the most prestigious title in domestic motorcycle racing.
Following two consecutive seasons where the championship went down to the final lap, this year’s contest promises to deliver another nail-biting finish. Defending champion Kyle Ryde and 2022 title-winner Bradley Ray are locked in a close title fight heading into the finale. Local hero Ray will look to impress in front of his home fans, while Ryde’s consistency has kept him at the top of the standings.
Outside contenders include Leon Haslam, still within striking distance mathematically, as well as former champions Tommy Bridewell, Josh Brookes, and Scott Redding — the latter having already claimed victory at Brands Hatch earlier in the season. Scotland’s Rory Skinner and Glenn Irwin, who switched to Yamaha machinery this season, are also expected to feature prominently across the three-race showdown.

With average outputs exceeding 180bhp and top speeds approaching 200mph, BSB machines are among the fastest in any national series, often lapping the Brands Hatch GP circuit in just over 86 seconds — around six seconds faster than a British Touring Car. Despite the incredible performance, the control Pirelli tyres and strict technical regulations ensure the grid remains closely matched, producing the kind of elbow-to-elbow racing for which BSB has become famous.
The Bennetts BSB Championship continues to stand out as the world’s leading domestic superbike series, showcasing not only the skill and bravery of its riders but also the passion of the thousands of fans who follow the action around the UK.
Tickets for the Brands Hatch finale (17–19 October) remain available at the gate. Discounts are offered for young spectators aged 13–15, while children under 13 can enter free of charge.
As the engines fire up for the final time this season, one thing is certain — the 2025 BSB title will not be settled easily. The stage is set for another unforgettable chapter in British superbike racing.
